about simon bowen
I returned to college to obtain a BTEC Diploma in Creative Software. This enabled me to set up a new media design studio in London where, under the name Tarantula, I and an ensemble of creatives and programmers developed a range of interactive media, web sites and graphic design projects for clients ranging from The Natural History Museum (London), The British Council, DMB&B, Logic Records and Stephen Budd Management. Having first heard about the famous Findhorn community as a child, I made the journey to the north of Scotland where I lived and worked for 4 years. My design and technical skills were soon called upon within the organisation where I produced web sites, graphic logos, book and print designs. I went on to work in the I.T. department and designed the Findhorn Foundation web site as well as successfully optimising the organisation's online marketing strategy. After leaving Findhorn in 2001 I established Fluidstate Ltd in the UK, mainly providing I.T. solutions, web site design and I.T. project management for a diverse range of clients. I have close links with Germany where my daughter Satya-Lara lives and I am now happily based in Freiburg, near the French and Swiss borders, whilst maintaining close social and business connections with the UK. Following the success of my work with clients such as Fabfoodpix.com, a prominent website in its niche market sector, and Aromantic Ltd – now one of the market-leaders in natural skin care in the UK, I launched Creative Catalyst, with long time friend and colleague Stephen Busby - supporting individuals, businesses and organisations in harnessing their creative potential, breakthrough innovation and the building of innovation cultures.
